14-year-old Savanna Coen’s intimate concert Memorial weekend in Eugene will be turned into a “live CD.”
EUGENE, OR — Local singer/guitarist, Savanna Coen, was named Oregon’s Tween Queen of the Blues by the Register-Guard at age 12 when she released her first studio record, “Strength.” Her original title track subsequently made the paper’s annual short list of top local songs.
Now at 14 and “Teen” Queen, Savanna is moving closer to heading into the studio again for her follow-up CD featuring all originals. But first stop, a house concert in Eugene to give a limited audience an intimate, solo-acoustic sneak peek at the new songs, as well as her versions of rare soul and blues classics.
The concert will be recorded and a portion will be turned into a live CD, soon after available for sale. With a $20 or more donation, attendees will receive a free signed copy of the CD when produced. Suggested admission is $15-$20 and includes the concert and potluck appetizer, dessert, and beverage bar. All proceeds go to the artist.
The Eugene house concert is scheduled for Memorial weekend, Saturday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited and advance reservations are required. More information or to RSVP: firstname.lastname@example.org, www.SavannaCoen.com.
